Search a computer for

ArcInfo coverages
CAD themes
project (apr) files

GeoSnap's Theme Locator extension significantly improves the way theme sources are located and added to views in ArcView.   Use  Theme Locator  to:

  • Find all supported theme sources on your computer's hard drives.
  • Display a complete list of available themes.
  • List all the ArcView projects (apr) that use each theme source.
  • Select and transfer themes to the current view in ArcView.

Theme Locator
automatically drills down through your computer's directory tree and finds  ArcInfo coverages, shape files, CAD drawing files, and ArcView project (apr) files.  As each theme source is found, it is saved in a permanent list.

Now  when you add themes to a view,  Theme Locator  displays the saved selection list of all available theme sources. Simply select one or more themes from the list,  press a button,  and the themes are quickly added to the current view.   The theme source list can be quickly sorted by theme name,  source file,  and type.

New Features :  In addition to finding theme source files,  Theme Locator  now  scans each ArcView project (apr) file on your computer and identifies the themes used in each project.    Theme Locator  displays a list of all ArcView projects that use each theme source.

Theme Locator   eliminates the slow process of manually navigating  through your computer's directory tree looking for themes.  If you are you tired of searching your computer looking for shape files, coverages, and CAD drawings,  then replace ArcView's add theme button ArcView's Add Theme Button with GeoSnap's  Theme Locator.
