SnapShotLT.avx1.3EV1, 2Adds a menu choice to ArcView's view GUI that summarizes the themes in a view. Each theme's source file name and location, entity type and source type is displayed. Also adds a menu choice to ArcView's table GUI that lists a table's field definitions. Each field's name, alias, type, width and number of decimal places is displayed. The table's GUI title, base file name, open script, close script, update script, creator, creation date, comments, record count, and the names of any fields that are indexed are also reported.

Notes :  1 - Extensions and scripts are intended for use with ArcView 3.x  on Windows 95, Windows 98, or  Windows NT 4.0
2 - SnapShotLT.AVX  also includes a small Visual Basic application.


Download Instructions

Each script/ extension has both a  self-extracting zip file and a standard zip file.  Both versions contain the same Avenue script. 
Click on the file name in the table  to start the file transfer.
Un-zip the file that you downloaded.

Add Script to an ArcView Project:

Start ArcView and open a project.
Select the "Scripts" GUI and click the "New" button.
Select the "Scripts \ Load Text File" menu option.
Browse to the file that you un-zipped.
Install    AV SnapShot LT:

Double click the  "InstallSnapLT.exe"  self extracting zip file to create the installation program.
Double click the   "Setup.exe"  file that was created above to start the  AV SnapShot LT installation program.
Follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
Add an Extension (AVX) to an ArcView Project:
(See special instructions for  AV SnapShot LT)

Copy the un-zipped extension file (AVX) into ArcView's extension folder (EXT32).
Start ArcView.
Select ArcView's "File\Extensions" menu option.
Click the required extension check box.
Click [OK].
